College Football Hall of Fame teams with Meijer to present Enshrinement Autograph Session

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - July 6, 2010 - The College Football Hall of Fame will once again join with Meijer to present a free Enshrinement autograph session featuring Central Michigan University standout and recently drafted Chicago Bear quarterback Dan LeFevour on Saturday, July 10 at 2:00 p.m. The football marvel will be available at Meijer's 5020 Grape Road location in Mishawaka and the event is open to the public at no charge.

"Meijer has been an important partner of the College Football Hall of Fame and without their help the annual Enshrinement Festival would not be such a success," said Katie Berrettini, Hall of Fame Assistant Director, Marketing and Development. "Fans from throughout the community will have the unique opportunity to interact with LeFevour during this special event."

As a play-making quarterback for Central Michigan University, Dan LeFevour led the Chippewa's to a Motor City Bowl victory in 2006. LeFevour has received many accolades for his collegiate performances including the 2009 Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Year, the 2009 All-MAC First Team selection, the 2010 GMAC Bowl MVP and the 2010 Senior Bowl North Team Most Outstanding Player. He is only the second player in CMU history to earn All-MAC honors four straight seasons. Upon graduating from Central Michigan University, LeFevour was drafted in the sixth round by the Chicago Bears in the 2010 NFL Draft.

A record-breaking quarterback for Central Michigan University, Dan LeFevour led a successful Chippewa offense during his collegiate career. In 2006, he led his team to a Motor City Bowl victory, receiving the game MVP honors. In 2007, LeFevour became the second player in I FBS history to pass for over 3,000 yards and rush for over 1,000 yards in a single season. He holds the Mid-American Conference career records for total passing yards, touchdown passes, completions, attempts and holds the CMU record for rushing touchdowns with 47. In 2009, LeFevour was named an Elite National Performer and Elite Quarterback Performer by the College Football Performance Awards and received the Mid-American Conference's Vern Smith Leadership Award. He is the NCAA Bowl Subdivision's all-time leader in combined rushing and passing touchdowns with 150 and is the only player in NCAA history with 12,000 career passing yards and 2,500 career rushing yards. LeFevour finished his career with a 36-15 record as a starter before being drafted in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears. In 2010, he was named the Detroit Athletic Club's 2010 Michigan College Athlete of the Year and is a member of the National Football Foundation's Hampshire Honor Society.
