SOUTH BEND, Ind. – March 23, 2010- The College Football Hall of Fame opened the 14th Annual KeyBank Gridiron Legends Luncheon Series today with Notre Dame Coach Brian Kelly as the first guest in an impressive lineup of prolific players and coaches. Coach Kelly spoke to a sold out crowd and detailed his rise through the collegiate coaching ranks as well as his expectations for the Fighting Irish this coming season.
“I think you are going to see a football team that will represent the ideals and values,” said Coach Kelly. “But more importantly, I think what you’re going to see is a personality coming out of this football team that is akin to the Fighting Irish”
Coach Kelly also touched on his desire to become part of the local community as well. “I don’t want to be seen as the head coach at Notre Dame that’s not accessible. I like to be in the community,” he said.
