Notre Dame Head Coach Brian Kelly kicks-off 14th Annual KeyBank Gridiron Legends Luncheon Series at The College Football Hall of Fame

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - February 24, 2010- The College Football Hall of Fame announced today that Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly will appear as the first speaker in the 2010 KeyBank Gridiron Legends Luncheon Series. This will provide football fans throughout the community a rare opportunity to hear Coach Kelly speak as Notre Dame football practices begin that same week.
"The Gridiron Legends Luncheon series consistently brings the biggest and most relevant names in College Football to the community," said Hall of Fame Executive Director Lisa Klunder. "We are honored to host an event for the general public to welcome Coach Kelly to the community. Attendees will be inspired by his passion and enthusiasm for the game."
The Hall of Fame will continue to host its special events calendar of unparalleled caliber through the remainder of 2010. This year the Hall of Fame boasts another banner year of renowned speakers, new exhibit unveilings, community based activities, races and festivals, autograph sessions, celebrity meet and greets, as well as continuing to provide first-class facilities for our corporate and social clients. The Hall of Fame's signature event the annual Enshrinement Festival will be on July 16-17 and include two days full of family-friendly activities for football fans of all ages. In the fall, football season at the Hall of Fame will include University team visits, autograph sessions and tailgate events on the Gridiron Plaza.
"The Hall of Fame will remain open through 2010 and bring a myriad of events to Downtown South Bend," said Klunder. "The Hall of Fame will work collectively with the City of South Bend and various other organizations within the community to ensure that downtown South Bend is both vibrant and active throughout the entire year."
The special event calendar will commence with the KeyBank Gridiron Legends Luncheon Series this March-June, which will bring some of the biggest names in college football to South Bend. This extraordinary multiple-event series features players, coaches and media personalities reflecting on their thoughts, experiences and memories of the game. Many times extremely humorous as well as poignant, this event is one of the best the Hall of Fame offers and should not be missed. Past speakers in the series have included Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Bo Jackson, Bobby Bowden, Drew Brees, Mike Ditka, Archie Griffin, Lou Holtz, Keith Jackson, Peyton Manning and Eli Manning among many others. The remaining speakers in the 2010 series will be announced soon.

The Hall of Fame is also proud to announce a new partnership with WNDU for the Gridiron Legends Luncheon Series. Sports Director Jeff Jeffers, a 30-year veteran sports anchor known as "the dean of local sports" will serve as the emcee for the series.
Luncheons consist of a question and answer session with the featured speaker, a video presentation and lunch. Questions will also be taken from audience members. Tickets for individual luncheons are $35 per person or $270 for a table of eight. Tickets can be purchased at the Hall of Fame ticket counter or by calling 574-235-5717. Each luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m.
